so this is my latest project, im still living at home and iv just decided to start photographing my home town, its intresting cause iv never really looked at it in this way before. this is only the beginning of the project, im pretty keen to keep it going on for a bit wealse im here. i am liking the lack of people their often is a presence that people have been their recently or just left. their is an image with an old man cutting his hedge but i think from now on stop taking images of with people in. i like the feeling it gives for this project at lest.

any way im really happy with how these have turned out. they are all about i supose the middle classes, suburban and its from and pattern that is found in these spaces. ofrten these images are shots of the front of peoples houses, i think these are quite telling on the owners and how they live their lifes, how they want to be seen in many way its kinda a continuation of the last project "keeping up with the jones"

i like i hows its all going going to have to get shooting more now i think. found myself a better scanner at last yes!!! time to start entering more competitions and got to start getting my work seen more....

finaly my frist project since Uni

it has taken me some time to get all this done, but its been hard i miss the kit and free prossesing and NEG SCANNERS (your going to have to excuse the quitlty of the images asjessops scanned, the files are tiny) but im happy with the look of them i think it works wooo.

so any way the idea of these images is that im looking at the term "keeping up with the jones" wich is kinda all about competing with ur neighbor having the nieces garden on the street or the best car,

Yesterday

Yesterday i took my frist pictures since uni and i had to, i have an idea for a self dicrected project. its called "keeping up with the jones", and thats what im looking at this idea of doing better than ur neighbour, so im taking shoots of the frount of people house on the same street to show the frout of them the houses are all the same desgin so how they keep their lawns ect will stand out. im excited now that i have started my own project all off my own back fro the frist time, i just need to sort my kit out!!!! im not sure how im going to get these images scanned. i will work somthing out im sure tho

So its finaly happened

i never thought i would be freely and happly doing this but i think if i am serouse about contuling my photography this is going to help as a way to put things down keep a bit orgnised it may work who knows


Right iv graduated now and iv been thinking about what to do next i have worked out that travling will be a big part of the next few years. as this is happing tho i want to be working on a few project some just wich will be ongoing and could last for ever and this i think i am intrested in photography the benial every day and approching i want the work to be very free and using my range finder and shooting coulr i think will work for this so it will become somthing that i do every day i hope.

next i want to work out some others

i am intrested in street art as it is very post moden it get the work to the people in the most radical way by putting it ware any one can see it. wich seems cool so i want to look at doing a project that is making the statument that street art is high art not saying that it all is but certanly some my plan if to recrate some pice of high art say somthing from the hudsons river school, i think i want to stay away from the more well know pices like pacso the clicha but i need to do resurch into this a bit. so i want to find my self a painter to spray this then i could set the shot up like a gallery and light it like one then step back shoot the lights so that it is ovouse that its set up and faked. i will see about that

then as i said im going travling i want shooting to be the major part of the travling i want my travling to be based around these project.

but these are early days i will have to see what happens i supose i may just get bored and not do anything i hope not
